Dean Writers Circle is a community of writers who share information across a range of relevant, writing-related matters. This information sharing takes place both within meetings and electronically.
In order to do this effectively and efficiently, members agree to share their email address with other members of the Circle.
This data protection policy is designed to ensure all members are aware of how their personal data will be used and to ensure that it is handled responsibly.
By joining Dean Writers Circle, members agree to conform to the policy below.
| Definition | Personal Data in this case refers to members’ names and email addresses. |
| Purpose | The personal data collected will be used only for writing-related purposes relevant to the group and its members and includes sharing of written work for feedback, information about meetings, communication relating to Circle events and other writing-related events of potential interest, writing competition information and member successes, book releases and promotion. |
| Transparency | Email addresses will be shared within the group for the purposes of writing-related communication. |
| Privacy | The email address of any member gained through Dean Writers Circle communication will not be shared beyond the group without the member’s written permission. Any member in breach of this will be asked to leave the Circle. |
