Leonard Clark new poetry collection 7 Dec

Leonard Clark, who grew up in Cinderford, published dozens of collections of his poetry during his lifetime. He passed away in 1981 and his last collection was published posthumously in 1984.

Now, 40 years later, a NEW collection of his work has been put together by Dr John Howlett in collaboration with Clark’s family and the Forest of Dean Writers Collection under the auspices of Reading the Forest.

This new collection is being launched in Cinderford, just a few steps away from where Clark lived and near to where his ashes are interred.

Come along to hear John, Clark’s son and daughter, and Reading the Forest’s Dr Roger Deeks in discussion with Jo Durrant @Jo Durrant’s Beautiful Universe about the new book.

The exhibition will include newly discovered photos of a young Leonard Clark and other remarkable material. A must come event for anyone interested in writing, poetry, Forest of Dean history…

Dean Writers Circle will also be there, so come along and say hi, and explore some potential Christmas book gifts!
